Last weekend Houston and I made a road trip out to El Paso, Texas to visit his Grandad and his wife, Hilde. We had such a fun time out there and we had no idea what party animals they were :) It was nice to see all of the places that Houston had talked about for so long. He got to see a lot of things too that he's heard many stories about over the years. 
The drive took 6 1/2 hours but it felt like it only took an hour. It was so nice to be able to share that trip with Houston because it was so important for him to make it out there to spend some time with them.
They took us country dancing, we went to the bar and hung out with their friends, we took a trip to Elephant Butte Lake and to a look out point near their house. We looked at pictures, watched some videos and listened to some great stories about his childhood. It was really nice to get to know them much better during this trip! Here are a few of the pics...

Your post makes me miss Texas - I went to college there and they know how to have fun in their own way. :)
